Bringing home a new puppy can be quite the learning curve!
And it’s important to know that you’re not alone in this experience!

Puppies & Parents was created to help new pet-parents and families discover the basics, feel supported while working through challenges and develop a strong relationship with their new furry family members.

Our weekly online support group brings together a mix of important topic discussions, time for Q&As and a place where you can talk about your struggles with other who understand and may be going through the same thing.

At Terra Nova Canines, we believe that everyone deserves access to training & education for their pups. Puppies & Parents is an easy and affordable way to make sure you start off on the right foot with your new canine companion!

How It Works:

  • Puppies & Parents is an open enrollment group which means that you can register and start at any time!

  • Registration includes 6 sessions. You can pick the days/times that work best for you to attend.

  • After those 6 sessions, you will have to option to purchase additional individual session at your convenience for $25

6 Sessions - $120 +gst

Details:

  • For parents of new puppies, puppies 1 year and younger & guardians who are expecting to bring home a new pup

  • Weekly virtual sessions that can be attended via phone or computer.

  • Sessions are 1 hour long and will include a presentation on an important topic, followed by Q&As and time for other discussions.

  • Topics will include:

    • Puppy proofing & introducing your puppy to their new home

    • House training & crate training

    • Learning dog body language

    • Proper socialization & desensitization

    • Mental stimulation & enrichment

    • Tools & equipment

    • Common myths

    • Body handling and cooperative care

    • Preventing separation anxiety & more!

  • Access to our private student Facebook group for continued ongoing support

  • PLEASE NOTE: Puppy & Parents is NOT suitable for more advanced behavior issues like separation anxiety, aggression, fear etc. If you are struggling with these, we can help refer you to other R+ trainers who specialize in these areas.
